The Burnom Kids
 |
Hello,
my name is Breonka Burnom. I've been a
member of Greenwood acres since I was
three years old. I am now 23 years old and I
can truly say I love God and my Bishop. I
also
know that God and Bishop Caldwell love the
youth. He constantly encourages us to make
our
good better, better best and never let it
rest. My Bishop Caldwell has also instilled
in the youth at Greenwood Acres to never
ever be average, hate the enemy called
average. Can you imagine hearing that as
long as I have. I thank God for all those
encouraging words. Because of such powerful
words, I have graduated from Centenary
College with a Bachelors in Biology and
Louisiana Tech with a masters in Biology
and will soon be entering medical school.
Not only is it important to be educated in
the secular world but Bishop always stressed
to be educated in the
word as well. Therefore I was constantly
involved in any youth activity at my church
and as a
matter of fact when I'm home and I can, I
still participate in as much as I can. I was
even asked
to teach our youth at Greenwood acres in our
school of Ministry. Oh , yes I have learned
over
these years to give back and I love to show
others that no matter how young you are God
can use
you. I am not ashamed of the Gospel! You
know I can remember giving Bishop one of my
many
notes when I was about 3 or 4 years old. I
always wanted to get to that stage to talk
to my
Bishop. Now I am a young lady and I still
want to talk my Bishop. Join me, children,
teens and
even young adults -— call in and talk to my
Bishop he really loves the youth. |

Hello, my name is Dexter C. Burnom. I am 16
years old and I love God and Bishop
Caldwell. I will be a junior at Evangel
Christian Academy. I play on the Evangel
Football
team, I'm a part of the Student Council, and
I'm a leader at Evangel. I love to draw,
play the
guitar or piano and hang out with family and
friends. At Greenwood Acres I participate in
the drama ministry, with the youth choir,
hospitality ministry, stomp for Christ,
focus, the
new world book club and the children's
ministry. This summer I am also a camp
leader at our
Eagles Camp here at Greenwood Acres. I know
I've shared a lot with you guys about me but
as a young man I've learned that what ever I
do, do to the glory of God. Bishop Caldwell
has
taught us as young men love God and love
whatever skin you're in. I thank God for
Bishop
Caldwell. He has made me believe I can do
anything through Christ. Every Sunday our
family
along with others, strive to get to Bishop
Caldwell to let him know we love him and he
takes
time to talk to each and every one of us.
That's great. When I was two years old my
mother
told me I was burned pretty badly. She took
me to the altar and Bishop Caldwell prayed
for me
and laid hands on me. He also prophesied
that there would be no evidence of this bum.
He
was right. Not only do I not remember this
incident happening but there's no proof on
my body
that I was ever burned. So you see not only
has Bishop Caldwell made a huge impact on my
spiritual life but he has also impacted my
physical life. I love you Bishop and we the
youth hear
you and desire and plan to make a
difference. Thanks for letting us know and
believe it's cool to
be a teenager for Christ. Hey, teenagers
call in and talk to the Bishop. |

Hello, my name is Brair Burnom. To Bishop
I'm known as Aaron. I am 15 years old and I
received Christ as my lord and Savior when I
was 6 or 7 years old. My brother and I
started
hearing Bishop's voice from our mom's belly.
So, when we were born we didn't jump when we
heard our Bishop get excited about God, like
some babies. Bishop Caldwell has always told
the parents at Greenwood Acres to allow
their children to be involved in church
activities as well as school. Well, my
parents really listened; my sister, brother
and I are very involved in our
ministry. I participate in the youth choir,
drama ministry, stomp for Christ, focus,
children's
ministry, and the new world book club where
we read and extrapolate. We constantly here
that
Greenwood Acres is the home of Champions. We
are the head and not the tail and we can do
all things through Christ that strengthens
us. If you here those words at Church and at
home you
can't help but to believe it. Because of the
word that I've heard, I decided to run for
student
council president and I won. This coming
school year I will be a sophomore at Evangel
Christian
Academy and I plan to represent Jesus in the
classroom, when playing basketball, tai kwon
do,
any thing I do. Bishop thank you for the
freedom award banquets and all the great
speakers that
you have brought in who have expressed to us
young men and woman that great men and women
have died for a lot of things we are
enjoying today and how we should not take
the freedom we
do have to read, vote, and even get a
library card for granted and we must pray
for equality.
Bishop we appreciate you , so my brother,
sister and I wanted to share you with others
over the
radio waves. Hey everybody call in and talk
to the Bishop the young and even the young
in heart. |
